In 1967 Jule Styne composed the music for "Hallelujah Baby," a new Broadway show starring Leslie Uggams and Robert Hooks, with lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green. This photograph, which I took at a rehearsal before the opening, shows Mr. Styne looking over his score during a break. We opened at the Martin Beck Theater on West 44th Street in New York City.
